Replacement of timber groynes in Herne Bay

A capital scheme is underway in Herne Bay in order to replace 23 timber groynes in between the Pier and Lane End roundabout, and in front of the King’s Hall. In addition to the new groynes fronting King’s Hall, rock has been imported and has been placed in front of the sailing club turning circle. This, along with beach recycling works, will replenish the newly constructed groynes. Work is due to complete in late spring 2019.
